Ramappa Lake, Palampet, Telangana.

Ramappa Lake stands testimony to the engineering excellence of the Kakatiya rulers. The lake was built during the tenure of Ganapati Deva, in the 13th century AD. 

The Kakatiya rulers followed the tradition of constructing a tank adjacent to a temple. In line with this tradition, the Ramappa Lake was also constructed near the temple of Lord Shiva, the Ramappa Temple.
