The refreshing mountain air, the serene Shola forests and the silvery mist add to the beauty of Manikyadhara Falls which straddle the Bababudan Giri and Devirammana Betta. When you reach here, steps lead you downhill to the foot of this small but gorgeous waterfall. Even in summer, the waters here are icy cold.
Manikyadhara Falls is located at a distance of 25 kilometers from Chikmagalur on Bababudangiri hills near Kemmangundi. Manikyadhara lies astride a wonderful part of the Bababudan giri and Devirammana Betta and about a kilometer away from Bababudan Giri.
On getting there, a set of stairs lead downhill to the foot of the waterfall. This is a small water fall but it is absolute heaven for hikers, bikers, as well as nature lovers of all type. The views are picturesque from this fall. Manikyadhara Falls is an ideal tourist place to keep away from stress of everyday life.
