Sathodi Falls is one of many of Karnataka’s gorgeous waterfalls. It is 32 kms from the tiny hamlet of Yellapura, which with its pastoral ambience, is a charming village. Sathodi Falls is formed by the convergence of a number of mountain streams in an area known as Kallaramarane Ghat.

The pretty Kumbakkarai Falls have two stages. In the first stage, the water pools in massive rock recesses; interestingly, each of these recesses have been named after wild animals like elephant, tiger and snake. At the second stage, the Pamba River flows for half a kilometer before cascading down as the main fall. The waters of Kubakkarai Falls are enriched with herbs and minerals.

This beautiful waterfall is about 27 kms from Pollachi en route to Valparai and 65 kms from Coimbatore.

Monkey Falls originates in the misty Valparai hill ranges and is surrounded by dense vegetation.

Karanji Lake is a lake located in the city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India. The lake is surrounded by a nature park consisting of a butterfly park and a walk-through aviary. This aviary is the biggest ‘walk-through aviary’ in India.
Karanji Lake is a picturesque lake located at the footsteps of Chamundi Hills and behind Mysore Zoo. Karanji means ‘fountain’ in Kannada. Spread over an area of 90 acres, it is regarded as one of the biggest lakes in Karnataka. Karanji Lake is home to more than 90 species of resident and migratory birds. It also supports several species of butterflies, small mammals and is a good example of wetland ecosystem. The lake attracts painted storks, pelicans and darters and a host of other winged beauties.

For a refreshing dose of splendid natural beauty, a visit to Vaidehi Falls at Narasipuram on the outskirts of Coimbatore is recommended. These waterfalls are about 30 km from Coimbatore on the Coimbatore-Siruvani road. What makes these falls so enchanting is the picturesque locale with its luxuriant greenery and the stunning views.

Ramappa Lake stands testimony to the engineering excellence of the Kakatiya rulers. The lake was built during the tenure of Ganapati Deva, in the 13th century AD. 

The Kakatiya rulers followed the tradition of constructing a tank adjacent to a temple. In line with this tradition, the Ramappa Lake was also constructed near the temple of Lord Shiva, the Ramappa Temple.

Thonnur Lake in southern Karnataka is a lovely spot that will take your breath away. It is naturally formed by the rain waters from the surrounding hills. Situated at a height, you can reach the lake through a flight of steps. At the foot of the hill surges a small, gurgling waterfall.
